Costs are set against a sub category or a stock item. If a stock item has costs set, these will override the costs on the sub category for that item.
The table below details the different costs for items:
Name | Description |
Wash cost | How much does it cost to wash an item |
Consumable cost |
How much do the consumables used to service an item cost |
Exchange Time (Mins) | How long it takes to service an item |
Depreciation % | How much does the value of the item depreciate per year |
The behaviour of the wash cost and the exchange time are set only on the sub category. Certain types of items will always be exchanged per unit or require wash costs calculating on their size.
The table below details these two sub category cost options:
Name | Description |
When calculating wash cost | Select per item if the size of the item does not matter, otherwise select to calculate per square foot. For example, large mats may require special wash procedures. |
Exchange Time Per Unit |
Check this if items in this category are serviced individually. For example, a bin must be serviced individually whereas a stack of tea towels can all be serviced at once. |
