Tasks are actions you need to do. For example you might set a task to remind you to call a customer on a particular date & time. You can setup tasks for yourself and also assign them to other people in your organization.

You can add tasks to the following records:

As an example we will add a task for a customer and assign it to ourselves.

  2. Choose the Customer tab
  3. Find a customer you want to add a task for using the search window
  4. Choose the Tasks tab
  5. Right click and choose Add Task
  6. Enter the task details in the task box
  7. Leave the Task Date as today's date
  8. The Assigned  dropdown will show as yourself. If you would like to assign the task to a different user, pick them for the dropdown list.

  10. Choose Save
  11. The task grid will refresh and your new task displayed

Mark a task as complete

To mark a task as complete view the task and tick the Done check box, if required enter any responses at the same time and choose Save. You can quickly mark a task as complete by right clicking it and choosing Done.

View tasks assigned to me

Tasks assigned to yourself are viewed in a single list on the My Tasks window. This window is first shown when you log in and can also be accessed by clicking your user name on the main title bar.

Click on 'A User' to view your assigned tasks. The number in brackets indicates how many incomplete tasks there are. In this case there is just the one we added above.

The My Tasks window is shown and lists all incomplete tasks. Here we can see the task we added above.

From here you can view the task details by double clicking it. You can view the customer record by either clicking the reference or by right clicking and choosing view customer.
